Jesus loves the little children, all the children of the world.....

El Camino - we write posts and put pictures on Facebook but we want to take you to the place where we go every Thursday to share the hope of Jesus.

El Camino is located near the dump.  Many people in the community make a living by digging through the trash so they can find something to sell.  The neighborhood is dotted with shops that buy recyclable material.  It's common to see piles of scrap metal, 2 liter bottles, pop cans, and parts of old computers in front of someone's house. The air stinks. There is trash everywhere.  We often have trouble driving into the neighborhood because of the poor condition of some of the roads.

On Thursdays, there is an after school program   We began leading this program in June.  There were about 30 kids that came each week.  The numbers grew steadily and in August we had 100 kids.  Last week - there were over 100.  There are only 5 adults.  We sing with the kids, we share the Bible with them and then we do a craft.

The craft is usually very simple, like a paper airplane with a rubber band attached  to it so it flies farther.  A snowflake, a pinwheel, a paper lantern.  All the crafts are very basic but these are crafts the kids have probably never done before.  You can see a video of the kids playing with the airplanes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dT2DZpN3hTU&feature=youtu.be

We are so humbled by God working in your lives to support us!! Thank you!! Today, we had a family increase their giving by $83 a month.  We had another family increase their giving my $5 and another by $10!  We had 2 families give a one time gift of $500.  Thank you, Jesus!! Thank you, financial team, for listening to God and for sacrificially giving.

It's not too late :)  God can still speak to you and you can still give.... here is the link to abwe.  http://holsinger.abwe.org/donate-support
