300 Operation Christmas Child Boxes!

We had the privilege of helping Pastor Luis and his church give out gifts to kids ages 2-14. Each child received a tract and gift. We handed out more than 300 boxes! All of the children were so happy to get their gifts. The looks on their faces were so surprised. It was a long day.  We were there for almost 4 hours. It was worth it though.
Dad took a trip with Mr. Richard to visit two of the church planting pastors.  It took almost four hours to get to the first house because the pastor lives in the mountains and the roads are not very good.  They spent time with Juan José and his family and they fed them lunch.  (See picture of his family below on left)

Church planting classes - Dad shared devotions in April and May classes.  Speaking Spanish is still hard, but he was glad to share with the pastors. (Dad talking to pastors below on right)
We found a house! Dad and I drew what we wanted the house to look like :) We don't really have a pool :)  I like having my own space to put my things.  I have a big tree painted on the wall in my room over my bed.  You can see pictures in our next prayer letter.
We met the Halls.  They are like grandparents.  They have a ministry with kids.  We are helping with a childrens' ministry called El Camino.  It is by Lake Nicaragua.  There is a lot of trash there and the kids are really poor.
School - We finished school on June 5.  I got all A's and made the Director's list.  I also went on a field trip and told my testimony.  My friend Anthia, translated from English to Spanish for me.  We also visited an orphanage.  There were 17 kids there.  One girl was 15 and she was shorter than me.  She had just learned to walk before her 15th birthday.

We went to visit Costa Rica and all of our teammates from the 2009 candidate class were together! The Langs will join us in August, the Doyles in October, and Andrea in 2014. Counting children we will more than double our ABWE team,  Please pray for all of us that we will work well together and be effective in the ministry God has given us.
