CEF Training

Training for teaching kids

Our team hosted Child Evangelism Fellowship training at the ABWE Ministry Center.  Over 110 people attended the training to learn how to effectively teach God's Word to children!  The training teaches how to prepare and deliver lessons that hold the attention of children.  Every lesson is taught with a emphasis on sharing the gospel.  A big thank you our Nicaraguan partners from CEF who taught the training.
Exciting times at the ABWE Ministry Center!  It has always been the goal of the ministry center to aid in church planting by providing a great camp experience; however, due to constraints such as camp development, staffing, and money we have not been able to offer many camps.  God is providing for this ministry through a foundation in the U.S. and through the leadership of our teammates Jason & Beth Lang working with our Nicaraguan partners Marco & Gabi. (Marco accepted Christ at a camp at the center some years ago).  We are excited to see this ministry develop and kids led to Christ!
Construction has begun again at the Rayitos Feeding Center. We are working to complete the security wall around the property and install a sturdy yet attractive gate at the front. Work is currently stalled as we wait for more funds to continue.  Please pray for wisdom and God's provision as we make decisions on planning for a church building. We had a crazy day on Friday - we packed in over 120 kids and divided them into three groups for the teaching time. It was kind of like the one room schoolhouse - except outside.
The Rayitos feeding center will be featured in the next issue of the Message Magazine! (it is ABWE's magazine.)
Our very first car accident in Nicaragua.  Sadly - even though it was not our fault, we had to pay for the damage on our van.
We had a great time at the beach before school started back up in January.  Ben and Julia invited their friends and  we made a whole day of fun in the sun.
Ben was willing to be buried, not sure if he was a deer or a man.  hmmmmmm
The kids had a chance to go paint balling.  They had a awesome time getting together with friends and shooting each other!
Gabe decided he wanted to try fencing this year.  He's learning quickly and doing really well.  It has been fun to watch his tournaments.
Andy is playing basketball again this year.  We are so proud of him!  He is a hustler!  We love watching Andy play!!
Julia caught a mouse and Kitty thought it was dinner.  He ESCAPED during the night but we found him later and released him into the wild.
Where's Waldo?  The case of the disappearing missionary.  Watch Mark's face in these pictures from Rayitos Feeding Center
