Prayer Letter June 2010

God is a great God and we seek to bring him glory!  God has been teaching us His ways and more about Himself. He knows we have a lot of knowledge of Him but He desires a closer relationship.

June brought a lot of changes for us.  We moved out of our house on June 5th into a rented duplex.  This is a big step toward Nicaragua.  It frees us up to go whenever God provides our support.  It was hard to leave the house where all our children were born – the only house they had ever known.  But God has provided a nice duplex that has a big backyard because it backs up to a small park and it also has a swimming pool.  We thank God that He is with us wherever we go!

We had the opportunity to present our ministry to a couple of churches.  The first one was in Grand Haven, Michigan where we were able to renew an old friendship with a high school friend who is the pastor of Robinson Baptist Church.  We enjoyed spending time with their family.  Our children had a blast with their seven kids.  We also presented our ministry at First Baptist Church of Gallipolis.  We appreciated meeting so many wonderful people and getting to know the pastor and his wife.  Besides presenting our ministry to churches we had the privilege to participate in a Vacation Bible School at Lighthouse Fellowship near Chicago.  Saddle Ridge Ranch was the backdrop for the week and we presented the missions theme each evening.  We worked with so many wonderful people and had a wonderful time with the kids.  We appreciate the hospitality of our friends the McGrady’s who hosted us.

What is going on in Nicaragua??  ABWE missionaries recently completed a 2 week ministry with the International Health Ministries (IHM) Boot Camp from ABWE. They ministered in 4 different churches, 2 of which are new church planting locations less than 2 years old. They were able to see 558 patients in the 7 days of clinics. As a result of this ministry, 40 adults made professions of faith and were invited to participate in follow-up discipleship classes with the pastor.

Our monthly support level is at 43% and our O& P is 57%.  God continues to increase our monthly support and O & P. We are incredibly thankful for His faithful blessings!! That being said, our financial goal was to be at 50% by the end of June so we can attend some mandatory training. We really need to attend this training to stay on track to get to Nicaragua soon. We have a couple weeks to hit the 50% support level.  Will you pray with us??

Thank you so much for loving us.  We appreciate your prayer support, financial support, and your encouragement. Thank you for your faithful service to our great God.

Love and Blessings,
The Holsinger family
