Prayer Letter September/October 2010

Welcome to fall!  We praise God for the changing seasons and the beauty that each one brings.  And we thank God that He never changes.  He is the same yesterday, today, and forever!  We can trust Him because we know He will always be a God who loves us.  Our days have many ups and downs, joys and sorrows, celebrations and difficulties.  But no matter what our day is like, God is there with us.  Praise God for His faithfulness!

September and October have been crazy months – busy with home schooling, flag football & cheerleading, AWANA, meals with friends and visiting churches.    The boys played flag football very well and improved greatly over the season.  Julia enjoyed cheerleading and pom-pom routines with the older girls.

September – We visited Shawnee Hills Baptist Church to present our ministry.  We enjoyed the many Cedarville & Dayton Christian connections and seeing our dear friends, the Entners.  We also visited Fayette Bible Church in Washington Court House, OH.  We taught the children in children’s church and presented our ministry in the evening service.

October – Our busiest month so far!  We visited 5 churches in October.

  • Bible Baptist Church in Newark, OH - We were part of a missions conference from Saturday-Wednesday.  We provided a children’s missions conference for the kids and spoke during AWANA council time.  We appreciated the many people we met and who provided meals, lodging and friendship to us. The Creekmore family was fabulous and we spent time with them in Columbus at COSI. (the above picture)
  •   Ladies missionary breakfast in Baltimore, OH - Jen she shared her testimony and how her earthly adoption parallels her spiritual adoption.
  •    Patterson Park Church - We did a mission emphasis for children during both services on Sunday to promote their missions celebration the next week. They kids were great and we connected with some friends we had not seen in a long time.
  •    Aboite Baptist Church in Fort Wayne, IN - We did a missions presentation during two AWANA council times. Visiting Jen's cousin Barry and family while in Ft. Wayne, was an extra blessing.
  •    Bethel Baptist Church in Savannah, OH - We spoke in Sunday school, taught children’s church and presented our ministry in the evening service.  We enjoyed our time with the Bouquet family during the afternoon.
  •   Calvary Baptist in Marysville, OH - We presented our ministry in Sunday school and taught children’s church.

We are thankful for these churches and their kindness to us.  We pray that God will provide for them and that we might have the joy of partnering with them.

Our monthly support level is 51% and our O & P is 81%.  We are so incredibly thankful for prayer support and financial partnerships.  We know that God is working in the hearts of His people.  We are excited to share the gospel with the people in Nicaragua and we are closer to getting there because of your support!! Thank you!!  Our next goal is to be at 85% by the end of January so we can attend more training at ABWE.  If we do not reach this goal - we will have to wait until November 2011 for the training to be offered again.

We appreciate your faithful prayers and support and we pray God’s continued blessing on each one of you!

Mark, Jen, Andy, Gabe, Ben, and Julia
